How to choose school clothes?

2021-08-25

The first of September is just around the corner. And all those parents who have children of school age are busy looking for beautiful, comfortable, and high-quality school clothes.

Here are some recommendations for choosing school clothes.

  • School clothes must be of high quality. High-quality school clothes can save children's health, adjust students to the educational process, minimize conflicts in school teams, and even increase the safety of children outside educational institutions. Given that a child spends 4-6 hours a day in school clothes (for high school it is 7-8 hours), it is clear that the quality of school clothing must be high. This applies to both the cut of the clothes, and the material from which it is made.

  • When choosing school clothes be sure to familiarize yourself with the requirements of your child's school. The school gives some guidelines, setting "limits", regarding colors or styles. The priority is the classic shades of blue, burgundy and dark green, less often gray or brown. Based on this and your preferences can choose school clothes.  Do not forget to involve the child in this process, his opinion in this matter is very important.

  • Do not buy a uniform for growing up! Although during the school year the child will surely grow up. As a last resort, if the model sits well and has a reserve length, you can twist (and then release) the length of the skirt, pants or jacket sleeves.

  • The style of school clothes should be aesthetically attractive and stylish. A child in school uniform should not look like a "little adult" - it looks unnatural. The school uniform should combine the features of business style and children's (teenage) clothing.
  • The material of the school uniform should by no means be completely synthetic. It is better if such additives as polyester or elastane in the fabric constitute not more than 30% - it makes it more durable, allows to keep its appearance for a long time and simplifies care. But the fabric base should always consist of natural fibers - wool, cotton or viscose. Such fabrics are called "breathable". The basic basic basic things should be based on natural wool. This is especially important if you live in a cold climate, but the fall and spring options may be based on cotton or linen. Cotton or viscose is ideal for blouses, shirts and turtlenecks.

Have a healthy, successful, and productive school year for all students!
